You can’t decide on what to spend your time in the summers on? Check out some festivals? Or use the warm weather for a kite/surf session and feel the sand underneath your toes? Guess what, you can do both! Here are 9 festivals you can not only dance your butt off but also (kite-)surf your heart out (and many more active, boardsport-related acitivities).
Oh and just FYI: the activities, that are listed here, don’t mean necessarily you can also take lessons in that sport. Some of the festivals offer lessons, some of them are only for people who already know hot to surf or skate etc. and can therefore practice it at the spot.
1. Hooked (Netherlands)
All the action sports you like on a beautiful beach for a chilled out weekend with cool people. It’s a family-friendly event with lots of activities for kids as well.

Music? The focus of this festival is definitely on the action sports but there will be a party on the 28th at night.

2. Surfana Festival (Netherlands)
In the middle of some scenic dunes you will find that festival which combines all the fun sport things you love to do or still want to learn. Great food, music, clinics, workshops and a lot of passion

Munich is quite far away from the ocean but the Surf & Skate Festival brings all the salty vibes closer to the landlocked surfers. Anything from movie nights to skate ramps, parties, yoga, SUP, surfing the river wave, art exhibitions to shaping workshops.
